This program empowers students with an entrepreneurial mindset to develop a plan for their very own business ideas, drawing from such disciplines as marketing, finance and strategy, in a supportive environment fostering teamwork. From designing marketing flyers to estimating profits, students have fun while developing a sense for business!
Finance Club
Learn how to manage your money in this program promoting essential life skills! Set your financial goals, develop a budget from scratch, shop for a credit card and calculate the monthly cost of your dream car. Students also learn about mortgages, FICO scores, taxes and the dangers of piling up debt. Through simulations and hands-on activities, students explore financial decisions they will have to make in the future.
Food Truck PopUp
Through this hands-on project kids learn how to translate ideas into concrete projects. In this workshop students select a theme for their food truck, design menus, estimate expenses, determine prices, and develop financial projections. This unique program offers a tasty way to develop business savvy!
My First Lemonade Stand
In this fun workshop, children will experiment with lemonade recipes, create a company logo, design their own flyers, learn how to count money and make change, and tally their expenses, sales and profits (or loss). During our season showcase, children will set up their own stand, sell lemonade, and raise funds for a charity of their choice.
Money$mart ** NEW This Year
This program is a real-life math lab where kids develop financial literacy and healthy spending habits, using real-world situations. Students will play money and math games, engage in budgeting exercises, and learn organizational skills.
