Cancellation/Refund Policy Fifty percent of the daily fee is refundable provided the cancellation request is emailed up to 72 hours before camp is scheduled to start. No refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued in case of absence, enrollment cancellations emailed after the 72-hour deadline, or programming changes [due to inclement weather or any other reason beyond our control]. Sept 23 • Governors Island Transportation: Subway and Ferry Our group will travel to Governors Island in the heart of New York Harbor. NYC’s longest slide, biking, recreational games & sports and a picnic lunch are all on the docket for this fun-filled day!
Sept 24 • Seaport Museum: Explorers, Crew & Cargo (Gr. K-5) Transportation: Subway Board the cargo ship Wavertree and experience the world of transatlantic sailors through hands-on activities. Tour the ship from bow to stern and learn how sailors and officers slept, ate, worked, and played. Haul on ropes to raise sail without leaving the dock, and walk the capstan ’round. Our tour will highlight the importance of ships, cargo, and commerce from the time of the European explorers until today. A fun immersive experience!
Sept 24 • Seaport Museum: Sail the Harbor (Gr. 3-6) Transportation: Subway Head out into the NYC Harbor and sail the Pioneer! Launched in 1885, the traditionally rigged and sailed Pioneer is the oldest boat still working in New York Harbor. Haul on ropes to raise sail, explore the ecology of the estuary, apply mathematics skills and reasoning to interpret navigational charts… all part of our sailing expedition!
Oct 2 • Laser Bounce (Queens) Transportation • Chartered School Bus Group will travel to Laser Bounce for a day of fun-filled adventure – bounce houses, obstacle courses, glow in the dark laser tag, a foam pit, virtual reality, an arcade filled with new AND classic games, and more! This place has something for everyone.
Oct 20 • Demarest Pumpkin Farm (New Jersey) Transportation: Chartered School Bus Hear all about Spookley the square pumpkin, go on a hayride, meet the animals in the petting zoo and have fun in the farm playground. Campers will also enjoy fresh pressed apple cider and homemade apple cider donuts, and pick their own special pumpkin from the Demarest fields. Perfect outing for Halloween season!
Nov 4 • Ferox Ninja Park (Brooklyn) Transportation • Chartered School Bus Run, jump and climb your way through obstacle courses, twist ’n twirl on trampolines, spring into the gigantic foam pit, scale the rock wall, and defy gravity in the parkour zone! An adventure filled day!
Nov 6 Half-Day Camp • Chuck E. Cheese (Brooklyn) Transportation: Chartered School Bus Schedule: 11:30am to 5:00pm Campers will enjoy two hours of unlimited play – arcade games, amusement rides, interactive dance floor, and jumbo video wall. We’ll catch a show featuring Chuck E. Cheese himself and get goodie bags to take home. Chuck E. Cheese offers campers pizza and fruit punch. Fun for all ages!
Nov 6 Half-Day Chess Tournament Schedule: 11:30am to 3:00pm 4-round Swiss style tournament where each participant plays 4 games regardless of the result. In between rounds, we will analyze and review games played as a group. The awards ceremony wraps up the tournament around 12:30pm with Trophies and other prizes. NOTE • Open to all levels.
