Tennis Academy

TEACHING METHOD
Classes taught by New Kids Tennis coaches using QuickStart, a USTA-sanctioned format developed specifically for children under ten.  Following this method, young learners play with shorter racquets, on smaller courts, with lower nets and special balls. These adjustments help students learn and develop the skills that will become the foundation of their game. The program is open to all levels – no prior exposure to Tennis required. Equipment is provided. Classes are held at PS 3 (490 Hudson Street).

CLASSES AVAILABLE
• Afterschool 
PS 3 students attending the afterschool program can add tennis classes to their semester enrollment.
• Weekend
Select Saturdays. Open to elementary school age children [from any school].
• Day Camp
Children enrolled in Village Kids Camps can add Tennis classes to their daily schedule. Offered during select holidays and school breaks. Camps are open to elementary school age children [from any school]. Please consult the Calendar page for upcoming dates.

INTER-SCHOOL TOURNAMENTS
Organized during the school year, these special events hosted by Village Kids are a great opportunity for our young players to test their skills, meet students from other schools, and celebrate their progress. Please consult the Calendar page for upcoming dates.
